Hunger Pt2…
We fast to get hungry… One time, I went on a 5 month fast where all I ate was liquid… (It was Dr. supervised). There were two things that happened to me in this short time. 1) I lost 135 pounds 2) I began to hear the voice of God like never before. There is something about physical hunger that creates a deeper spiritual hunger which leads to greater spiritual eye sight. I have heard it said that miracles signs and wonders flow more freely in third world countries… I wonder if it is because the people’s physical hunger is creating a vortex of spiritual hunger that causes them to believe and to see into the supernatural in a greater way? I can not describe the type of advancement I made during this period in my life. Not to mention I was hotter! but really, If it is your desire to see more, to experience more, to know more of God in 2010, I would consider adopting fasting to your weekly diet. It will be difficult at first, however you will see long lasting benefits as you persevere through it. Your physical hunger will become a spiritual hunger, that will be your direct escort to the deeper things of God. Today is the first day of 2010 and my prayer for you is that your hunger will lead you to the Lord of mercy in new measure, and that the winds of heaven will blow upon your face as you are captivated by the glory of the living God. So I lift my glass… To the hungry life!
